Volunteer Needed!

'Round-the-World-Women, a more than fifty-year old volunteer organization in New Haven, is looking for volunteer person to help running their organization.

The organization has welcomed women from other countries to New Haven, assisted in their orientation and adjustment to a new community and provided a forum for making friends and sharing new experiences.

Our organization is run completely by American and foreign volunteers who not only meet with new members every week to become better acquainted, but are also available at other times to help solve the problems of daily living in a foreign country. They help with housing, nursery and school enrollment, shopping, and other practical concerns.

This year we start with small numbers of active members helping to run the organization. We are really hoping that a few of you will volunteer to help keep
the organization going. No working permit required. Person with basic computer skills and a driver's license is preferred, but not necessary.

We need volunteers especially in the following fields.

-Lead Coordinator : Plans and supervises our program
-Media Coordinator: Takes care of our facebook page, advertising material etc.
-Nursery Coordinator: Plans and supervises nursery room volunteers and activities
-Administration Coordinator: Welcomes new members and maintains our member's list

We will have our first meeting for the semester on Tuesday, September 6th.
Please contact staff members from http://www.rww-international.com/?page_id=20 or just show up to the meeting if you are interested in helping us.

Meeting Date: September 6, Tuesday from 10:00 to Noon

It's actually a very exciting opportunity to lead a wonderful organization. And any skills you develop or projects you work on with RWW will be great to add to your CV and may help you get a job later on.
